Slow Waltz is a graceful and romantic ballroom dance characterized by smooth gliding steps, elegant rise and fall, and a floating quality across the floor. In this class, we will focus on the basic technique, timing, and partner connection that allow you to dance with flow, balance, and effortless elegance.
Angelo Madonia
Angelo Madonia was born on July 27, 1984, in Palermo. Today, he is a dancer, choreographer, and Technical Director of Italian Dance Studio Education. He began dancing at the age of 11 and soon made his way to the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Over the years, he went on to perform on some of the world’s biggest competitive stages, touring internationally and appearing in theaters across England, Russia, and China. From 2010 to 2015, he ranked among the top six dancers in the world. In 2006, Angelo joined the cast of *Ballando con le Stelle 3*, paired with Pamela Camassa. The duo reached the final, finishing in second place behind Fiona May and Raimondo Todaro. In 2007, he also competed in the Ukrainian edition of the show (*Танці з зірками – Tantsi s zirkamy*). Afterward, he worked as Technical Director in several dance schools, including Lab Studio in Milan, Rome, and Palermo. In 2021, he returned to *Ballando con le Stelle* as the coach responsible for the "ballerine per una notte." The following year, he officially joined the cast of professional teachers, where he continues to work today. In 2023, after the end of the Italian season, he was invited to Madrid to take part in *Bailando con Las Estrellas*, the Spanish adaptation of the Rai talent show.
